Summer Learning Journey Launch

The Summer Learning Journey for NEXT Foundation from Next Foundation on Vimeo.

Today The Next foundation came to Panmure Bridge School for the Summer Learning Journey. They also food-eat my lunch. Thanks to Rachel, Hazel and the people who helped  with the Summer Learning Journey.  I would love to participate in it. They came to launch the video they made in our class room.  To promote The NEXT  Foundation.  The video was great and every one was in it. 

Collaborative Challenge

  Yesterday LS2 were doing collaborative challenge. I was in the group with Sa Kae , Oh Hsen and Christopher. We all worked really well and our group collaborated. Our task was to choose a country that celebrates Christmas and we were finding out some facts about that country. Our group choose Japan. We have learnt that the name for Santa in Japanese is Hotei Osho and I've also learnt what they eats for Christmas day. I've learnt a lot's about how Japan celebrates Christmas. 

Tech Reflection

This term I've been going to Tech and I've learned how to cook different Delicious types of foods. It was my first time being in a cooking class at a school. I thank Mrs Heka for all her help and advice will we were cooking. It was a great year at Tamaki Collage and a great year with Mrs Heka. It was a amazing experience. 

Google Logo Game

Today I've  played a game named Kids Coding. The game is about getting the bunny home its way it collects carrots.This game is really fun and every one can try to play this game.                                                                              

Summer Learning Journey

On Friday Hazel came to Panmure Bridge School to talk to us about the Summer Learning Journey. She told us about how it will expand our reading and let us learn more. It sounds really cool and I want to take part in the learning journey.   

Social Science

Last Week Friday LS2 went to Tamaki Collage for tech and we were put into group like Social Science , Robotics and P.E. I was in Social Science and  my partner was Jorja. We played pursued and we used google earth to find out were we where. We enjoyed it and I thank Ms Apelu for teaching us.

On Monday Ms Anderson's maths group created DLO  using this maths strategy. Me and my partner Jorja  made this  to show you and explain to you our strategy.   This was to help us with problem solving

Fire Station

Yesterday  LS2 went to the Fire Station because this term we  have been busy learning about the people in our local community. The fire fighters cut open a car with a tools that are called 'jaws of life'. They used these cutters and spreaders to show us how they rescue people in cars. The fire service are also first responder's in a emergency. They gave us examples of how to avoid fires like switching off heaters and plugs while you sleep, or switching off the pan when you are not cooking. It was really fun and I learned a lot of new ways to stay safe. 

Learning to Motivate

Today the Year 7's were busy leadership.Every one put in effort to do the role plays. This was to prepare us to became school leaders for next year. 

Police men, Police dog and Helicopter

Today Panmure Bridge School had a visit from the Police Service.They came to explain to us how they do thing and showed us how they catch bad guys and find lost people. I enjoyed it and I think every one else enjoyed it too. The dogs were very kind and they beautiful. It was really fun to watch. 

Nurse Shark DLO

Today Mishaan and I  were  learning about  the  Nurse Shark. We looked for animals that names start with our first names. My letter was N  because my name starts with N.  They are mostly found in  the Caribbean Islands and from Southern California to Peru on the American west coast. I hope you got interesting facts about Nurse Sharks from my DLO. 

Safety Rules about firewoks

    

Today we were learning  about the  Safety Rules  of  Fireworks.  This is about  how to stay safe when you are busy with Fireworks. Remember  it is  important to stay safe around fireworks.

How to use screencastify

  

Today I've learnt how to make a screen castify. To make a screen castify you have it downloaded  the app . Then you need to record your screen castify and listen to it . Did you know that you can only make 49 in one term.

Democracy

Last week we  learned about Democracy and we worked in group it was  interesting to learn more about Democracy.

Scale Drawing

Today we learned about Scale Drawings. It was very interesting to learn about new whys  to draw and do maths  . I enjoyed It very much and I think the class enjoyed it as well.

OUR FOCUS FOR TODAY IS TO COMPLETE OUR 3 TASKS ABOUT ELECTIONS. THIS TASK IS TASK ONE, FOR TASK ONE WE MADE A PADLET THAT EXPLAINS AND ANSWERS THESE THREE QUESTION AND THEY ARE: WHAT IS AN ELECTION, WHY WE HAVE AN ELECTION, AND WHAT HAPPENS DURING AN ELECTION.
