HIIT Training

Today was our first HIIT training session for Term 3. The goal of HIIT is to get puffed-pau te hau and also to increase our heart rate. In this session we got to chose the exercises that we were doing for today. We chose to do Tap step, Star jump and High knee sprint. The two people who were leading the exercise for this week session were Matatio and Tiava. We also stood in lines of five to focus and keep in time with the people in front of us.

Pro's and Con's

Today we had a group discussion about the Pro's and Con's of  living in a lighthouse. Pro's means positive, good, up and highlights and Con's means bad, negative, down and challenges. In the making DLO in worked Joel. W used our paper that we wrote on yesterday during our class discussion. We bullet pointed the good and bad things of living in a lighthouse. I really liked working with Joel.

PBS Matariki Celebration

Today was the PBS Matariki Celebration were the Senior Kapa Haka group performed, Junior Kapa Haka group performed, the drumming group performed with Mr Matt, a couple girls played the Ukulele with Whaea Odie, and the Pacifica group were I performed. This celebration was a good opportunity for our school to become a Whānau. We also had a sausage sizzle with tomato sauce that Mr O cooked them for us and Mrs Whaea Odie husband donated the sausages for this day. This was really cool for me to learn more about Matariki. Thank you to Mrs Whaea Odie for this great celebration.
