This week LS2 have been completing the city of sales challenges. The completed tasks that were set to complete were 5. For one of the activities, we were to research a kiwi who invented something. Today Mele, Sky, Hajera, Fui, and, I collaboratively worked together to find information about our kiwi inventor. As a group, we all agreed to create a storyboard about a kiwi called Geoff Barnett who invented a ride called the cycling monorail. It was called the cycling monorail because it was exactly like the skyline, but with someone who cycles a bike throughout the whole ride. We decided to create a storyboard about this invention by using storyboard that. Our story was about Geoff Barnett who went to a circus and tried out new rides, but then he thought about creating his own ride so that kids could be more active, besides sitting on a seat. Above shows the storyboard that we created and an image of Geoff Barnett's invention.
This blog is a record of my learning from Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ through to Tamaki College.

City Of Sails Challenge - Pavlova Recipe
This week LS2 has been busy with a challenge called the City Of Sails. This challenge is about Auckland and in this activity there were challenges we could choose from to make a DLO about. For this challenge, I decided to work with Angela and created this DLO on how to make it. We included a recipe for whipped cream because no one can have a Pavlova without whipped cream.

Steampunk Art Challenges
Last week LS2 was been busy learning about the art for steampunk. Before doing the art we could to create a DLO different types that happened in the Victorian times. We needed to work in pairs so I decided to work with Hajera and we created a DLO about the way the Victorian Washerwoman washed there clothing, this was an interesting process because they did not just a washing machine as we do in the modern times, they used tools such as dolly-stick, cast iron, and laundry soap. In the learning of this activity, we learned the art started. It started in the early 19 century Queen Victoria reigned over England. In this DLO I explain what the art of steampunk actually is and I also showed the image an image that I drew that had living based product that is added with parts machinery.
